From Regal Rexnord to Movex: Why We Made the Switch
For many years, SL Plastics was a UK distributor of Regal Rexnord conveyor products, including Rexnord chains, modular belts, sprockets and the System Plast range. Following the global brand consolidation under Regal Rexnord and changes in the UK distribution landscape, we have now partnered with Movex®, the Italian premium conveyor manufacturer, as their UK Preferred Partner, Stockist and Supplier.
For our existing customers running Rexnord on legacy equipment, the practical impact is small. Most Rexnord components have a direct Movex equivalent of equal or better quality, in stock at our Norfolk warehouse. For the parts that don’t have an exact match, our in-house CNC machining service can produce custom replacements to your drawing.

When Movex Doesn't Have an Exact Match
We'll Machine It Here in the UK
Some Rexnord components on older UK installations were developed for specific OEM applications and don’t have a direct Movex equivalent. Rather than tell you “we can’t help”, our in-house engineering team can produce custom replacements from your original drawings, photographs of the worn part, or by reverse-engineering a sample.
We have three heavy-duty CNC routers, mills and a lathe in our Norfolk workshop, with capacity for prototypes, one-offs, and short production runs. Typical lead times are 1 to 2 weeks, often less for urgent breakdown work.
This combination of stocked Movex parts and on-demand UK machining is what makes us a true single-supplier solution for legacy Rexnord equipment, regardless of how unusual the component might be.
